The Planning and Zoning Commission will consider the following item at the February 11, 2019 Commission meeting:
Conduct a Public Hearing to consider a request by Juan Ramos, owner, and Michael G. Parker, R.P.L.S., applicant, for approval of a flag lot for the California Boulevard Subdivision final plat on property described as ABS 0040 QUINALTY J.L.,TRACT 9, ACRES 3.866, and more commonly known as 1309 California Boulevard.
A Public Hearing to consider the request will be held in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 300 East Shepherd Avenue by the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 5:00 PM and by the City Council on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 5:00 PM.
The Planning and Zoning Commission will conduct a Public Hearing to consider the following items at the January 14, 2019 Commission meeting:
Conduct a public hearing to consider a request by CCLAD, Inc., owner, to change the zoning on property described as 3980 EVERETT BLK 1 LOTS 7-8, and LOT 9.1, W/2 OF 9, and more commonly known as 202, 204, and 206 Vincent Street from “Residential Medium Single Family Dwelling” to “Residential Small Single Family Dwelling.”
Conduct a public hearing to consider a request by Teresa Jasso, owner, to change the zoning from “Local Business” to “Commercial” and grant a Special Use Permit for Automobile Repair Services (with outside work) on property described as ABS 0040 QUINALTY J. L.,TRACT 22,ACRES 2., ABS 0040 QUINALTY J. L.,TRACT 23,ACRES 0.42, and ABS 0040 QUINALTY J. L.,TRACT 21,ACRES 1.9, and more commonly known as 1813, 1819, and 1821 East Lufkin Avenue. This request includes a change to the Future Land Use Map to Corridor Commercial.
Conduct a Public Hearing to consider a request by Diego Vallejo, applicant, for a Special Use Permit for Indoor Commercial Recreation and Entertainment use on property described as 5155 MOLINA SUBD BLOCK 1, LOT 1, and more commonly known as 600 Ellis Avenue in a “Local Business” zoning district.
Conduct a Public Hearing to consider an amendment to the Brentwood Shopping Center Plan for property described as 3231G Brentwood Crossing VIII Blk 1 Lot 13 and more commonly known as 2130 South First Street.
The Public Hearings to consider the applications will be in the Council Chambers of City Hall located at 300 East Shepherd Avenue by the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 5:00 PM and by the City Council on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 5:00 PM.
Lufkin's 2018 Comprehensive Plan
The City of Lufkin developed and implemented a new Comprehensive Plan in 2018. The Comprehensive Plan is a long-range master plan for our community. Our last long range planning effort was undertaken in 2001. The Comprehensive Plan establishes a vision for the future of Lufkin and provides goals, objectives, and policies to help us realize the vision. It provides the framework, or road map, to guide our community leaders and staff in their decision making.
