There are two types of warrants that may be issued by The Court:

  • Alias Warrants are issued for individuals who fail to appear/violate a promise to appear to answer to C misdemeanor charges.
  • Capias Pro-Fine are issued when an individual has been assessed a fine but has failed to comply with the court’s orders.

In most cases, when a warrant for arrest is necessary, a notice may be sent to you at the address shown on your ticket. This notice outlines the violations charged against you and fines associated with them.

A warrant can be issued for your arrest when you:

  • Do not to respond to your ticket within 20 days
  • Do not appear for your court date
  • Do not pay a fine assessed by a judge
  • Do not complete the Driving Safety Course requirements and do not appear to show cause
  • Do not comply with the terms of your probation and the probation is revoked
  • Default on payment arrangements
  • Fail to comply with a community service order

If it is necessary to issue an arrest warrant, a $50 warrant fee will be added to your fine.

If you believe you have an unpaid Lufkin Municipal Court fine, you may contact the court at 936-633-0315 for more information. Additionally, your driver license may be flagged for non-renewal or your balance due may be turned over to a debt collection agency as a result of failure to pay your fine.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT PERSONAL CHECKS ARE NOT ACCEPTED IN PAYMENT OF ACTIVE WARRANTS. VISA, MASTERCARD, CASH OR MONEY ORDERS ARE THE ONLY METHODS OF PAYMENT ACCEPTED TO CLEAR THE WARRANT.
